Quick update

Sorry for being late on these, but a handful of stories that ran this weekend. What we're going to do is cram two days worth of updates into one post. Bear with me.

Part A.

Yesterday the homeless soccer team continued to play at the Homeless USA Cup in Washington, D.C., and hey, they won a game and earned a ticket to a championship tilt. Also, the local U-23 soccer club was scheduled to take on a professional team from Mexico. An interesting connection between the two teams here.

Part B.

Hey, whaddya know, the soccer team played one more time today in the championship. It lost to New York, but there's good news for the team within this story. As for the U-23 team, the Aztex, it lost to the Mexican professional team, but by a fairly slim margin.

By the way, tonight I saw the following commercial for Gatorade Tiger. Yes, the world's greatest golfer has his own flavor of energy drink. I'm sure this was filmed long before the U.S. Open and the knee issue, but I would have to think Gatorade still doesn't regret introducing the flavor. It certainly has much more of a ring to it than Gatorade Phil.
